Getting started with accessibility tooling!

Harbour Front #25

We can't tell you how excited we are to be back! Join us for an evening of meeting new people and learning new things. Nic Chan will be talking to us about accessibility, and we are super happy to have her. Hope to see you at the Hive Studios in Kennedy Town, right next to the MTR.
We hope you'll leave all energized and ready to build accessible websites.

We open our doors at 7 and kick-off at 7:30. After the talk, there will be plenty of time for chats and meeting new people too.
There will be drinks and snacks.

GETTING STARTED WITH ACCESSIBILITY TOOLING

Say you've heard a bit about accessibility (a11y for short), you've done a bit of research into what it entails, but you're not quite sure how to get started with incorporating it into your design or website yet. Don’t worry, you don't have to travel this road alone! Nic Chan will introduce accessibility tools, how to use them, and why they are useful. Whether you're a designer, a developer, or an accessibility expert, this talk has something for you.

👩🏻 Nic Chan is a freelance front-end web developer and an advocate for a more inclusive web. She blogs about accessibility and other topics on her site at nicchan.me and Smashing Magazine.
